I am currently researching partial differential equations, and in particular nonlinear evolution equations, as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester. I received my Ph.D. on May, 2012 from the University of Notre Dame. For more information about past and current projects, please consult my vita and publications.
I've held a variety of jobs, a few of which are detailed in my resume. At one point I was a professional chess player, earning money by playing in USCF rated tournaments and playing blitz chess in Greenwich Village. When I'm not busy with mathematics or chess, I'm either reading, playing tennis, or working on music.
